Swimming Pools and Conveyancing - Take Note!!!!

From 29 April 2015, all Contracts for Sale of a house or unit which has a swimming pool must have a Certificate of Compliance in respect of the pool, otherwise the Contract will be void at the option of the Purchaser.

Based on current Council information it can take up to four months to obtain a Certificate of Compliance for a swimming pool.
It is estimated that 95% of pools fail the first test.

If you are thinking of buying or selling a property with a pool, then you should start thinking about starting the process now of obtaining the Certificate of Compliance.
Best not to delay this!
