Bought something off the plan that wasn’t to plan?

Bought something off the plan that wasn’t to plan?
When it comes to buying any property, knowing exactly what you are paying for is crucial.
When it comes to buying off the plan, what is even more crucial is having certainty that what you are buying will actually be built to the specifications disclosed in the Contract for Sale.
Very often the ‘artist’s impressions’ of the final look of the property may not be consistent with what is delivered upon completion.  For instance, a missing bedroom or store-room is a major discrepancy.
To avoid being stung with this outcome, it is important that you consider the following before you sign any Contract for Sale:
·         Visit the property site and check the location.
·         Carefully inspect the display home, models and ALL plans.
·         Investigate the fixtures, fittings and finishes.
·         Research the market conditions and speak to an expert to determine the property prices.
·         Research the developer.
·         Get a full Contract review by a solicitor.
If you have been caught out and bought something off the plan that wasn’t what you expected contact G&B Lawyers for assistance.
